This Is Why You’re Not Manifesting Money—Change Your Habits

What is Manifesting?

Many people hear about manifesting but have no idea what it is: Do you?

The basic premise of manifesting is simple. It’s the practice of turning your dreams into reality. It requires that you believe in yourself, your ability to achieve the things you desire, and working toward your goals.

When you manifest, you listen to your heart’s desire and take action. Think about that for a moment—especially the second part. You cannot simply hope something will happen; you have to make it happen, and manifesting is how you get there.

Why You Aren’t Manifesting Money

Financial stability is something that everyone wants. Nobody wants to struggle with paying bills, and it’s normal to want the luxuries in life.

Saying you hope you will get a good job or money isn’t enough—you won’t get anything if you only “hope” you will and don’t take it a step further. This is why most people don’t get the financial wellness they desire.

Using Only Affirmations

Affirmations are one step further than hoping something will become reality. When you affirm something, you create a mantra that turns your hopes into beliefs.

For instance, you might hope to save $10,000 by the end of the year. You turn this into a mantra that says, “I will have $10,000 by the end of the year.”

This statement is one you repeat every day for the next year, but this alone won’t get you anywhere. Will you have this amount of money by the end of the year? Maybe, but quite likely, you won’t because these are only words.

Not Creating Proper Goals

Setting goals is part of manifesting because it adds structure to your intentions and affirmations. Yet many people don’t create goals at all. If you don’t create goals, then your mantras are empty promises.

You cannot get what you want if you don’t make your ideas clear to yourself. Thinking about making money isn’t a goal—you have to be more specific, realistic, and decide when you want to have this money.

Not Working for What You Want

Even the most basic and easily achievable goals won’t happen without manifesting an action plan. If you don’t work toward your goals, you cannot get what you want—no matter how simple they are.

Once you set goals, you have to create a plan to realize them. This is where manifesting comes into full force, as you are taking control of your dreams and your future.

Forgetting About Habits

Only working on your dreams and goals occasionally won’t get you very far. Excellence should be a habit, but if you aren’t taking action daily, then manifesting won’t become a consistent practice.

Listening to Limiting Beliefs

If you believe you aren’t manifesting that you can’t be wealthy, then you won’t be. There are reasons why you might think this—like believing you don’t deserve money or can’t get a better job—but these are limiting beliefs. You have to stop listening to them because they are mental obstacles holding you back from achieving greatness.


The Law of Attraction

The law of attraction is one of the universal laws of nature and is necessary for manifesting. If you invest positive energy into achieving your desires and believe that you can reach your dreams, then you will attract the outcome you wanted in the first place.

Positive Thinking Attracts Positive Results

This law requires positive thinking. You have to believe in yourself, your intentions, and your ability to get things done. Sure, there might be challenges, but you continuously approach them with a positive attitude.

When you use positive thinking, it is easier to overcome obstacles and create plans that will get you closer to what you want. However, there is one thing that is very essential: You have put your plan into action and do it in an optimistic way.

Negative Thinking Attracts Negative Results

A surefire way to not get what you want is to allow negativity into your life. As soon as negativity comes into the picture, the forces of attraction become less, so you have to get back on track to positive outcomes.

Things won’t always go according to plan, but how you react will determine your future. You want to maintain positive energy, even when negativity enters the equation.

Here is an easy way to overcome negative thoughts: As soon as you catch yourself thinking negatively, counter your thoughts by creating three positive thoughts about the same topic.

You Get What You Give

You are the only person in control of your destiny. Things might not always go as you had hoped, and your plans might change, but you are the one driving your destiny.

What you put into your life and events is what you will get out, and this goes for your words and thoughts, too. If you say, “I will never be able to save $10.00,” then you will never save it because you have already decided that you won’t get it.

Your thoughts are powerful. Say what you want from your life, suppress negativity, and speak only positivity so that you can manifest your wishes.

Be Open to Change

Your intentions and goals are a guideline for what you want from life. This is good since it gives you a foundation to create plans from but realize that attraction doesn’t always work as you might think.

Attraction and positive energy work in strange ways. You might plan on saving $1,000 per month for 10 months to get to your intended amount, but you might get to this amount in other ways. You could win a raffle that makes you $5,000 richer or get promoted allowing you to save more money each month.

Be open to different possibilities and change. As long as you remain positive and work toward your goals, you have the ability to realize your desired outcome.

You have your goals and habits, which means it is time to get to your desired outcome. Wake up every day and put in the work that will get you closer to where you want to be. You get what you give, so give it your all.

Use Mantras

Affirmations instill belief in yourself and your intentions to be using them daily, which makes this a habit on its own. Use your intentions to create powerful mantras about your finances that reflect the outcome you want and not your current position.

Consider statements like the following:

  • “I have financial wellness.”
  • “Money is on the way.”
  • “I am getting richer.”

Write down your mantras and put them in a place where you can see them constantly.


All of the previous steps have set you up for manifesting your dreams. Now, believe in your intentions, goals, and actions. You will attract desired outcomes as long as you remain positive and put energy into achieving your goals.
