How to Reprogram Your Brain for Health, Wealth, and Happiness

Author: NeuroGym Team | 2017

Your thoughts and belief system make up the software that runs your life. The way you experience the world around you is a reflection of your inner belief system.

And have you noticed how limiting beliefs block your growth and progress?

The human mind relies on the brain to carry out its functions . . . and our minds divide into two parts: the conscious and subconscious.

Think of your mind as an iceberg; the conscious part is the part you see on the surface of the ocean—which is roughly about 5 percent of the ice formation. And the other 95 percent that lies under the sea represents your subconscious (a.k.a. unconscious or nonconscious) mind.

Imagine the power of the subconscious . . .

The subconscious mind is always active . . . regulating the automatic functions of our body. It's also responsible for encoding our emotional responses into our cellular memory. This process determines our motivation and shapes our behavior, thought patterns, and habits.

So, if you want to change your behavior and create daily habits for success, you have to start communicating more effectively with your subconscious mind. It's that simple.

Here are three favorite techniques we gathered to help you get going on the path to reprograming your brain for goal achievement in all areas of your life.

1. Practice creative visualization to prime your brain to make big moves.

Cognitive priming techniques like visualization, meditation, self-reflection, and mindfulness help stimulate new, positive neural pathways. Your unconscious mind dominates mental activity regardless of whether or not your conscious mind is idle or active. Your unconscious mind is using up the majority of energy consumed by the brain.

Your nonconscious mind is using up the majority of energy consumed by the brain. So why not fill your busy brain with some positive constructive daydreaming (PCT) and creative visualization to open the gates for joy and productivity?

These practices can help you to get clear about what you want . . . and help you transform dreams into reality.

2. Incorporate subliminal messages into your daily routine.

The physicist and author Leonard Mlodinow explains: "Human behavior is the product of an endless stream of perceptions, feelings, and thoughts, at both the conscious and the unconscious levels" (Subliminal: How Your Unconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior). And to shift your way of being you first have to reprogram your unconscious mind for success.

Incorporating subliminal messages into your day takes affirmations to the next level. Repeating affirmations vocally or through writing is great . . . but receiving positive messages subliminally is an excellent way to accelerate the reprogramming process.

Listening to subliminal guided (audio) meditations on headphones while you're relaxing or seeing visual affirmations appear on your computer screen during your work day can help you to connect to a source of well-being in all areas of life.

Subliminal messaging can help guide you to new opportunities, attract interesting and loving people, and increase the flow of money, health, and overall prosperity.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: If you want to gain confidence . . . lose weight, think positively, and ultimately rule your life, check out this brain hacking software program our friends created: Subliminal360. When you're on your computer for work or being social, it helps you reprogram your subconscious mind with positive commands . . . helping to change how you think and act.

3. Use positive affirmations to conquer your limiting beliefs.

This one is important if you want to reprogram your brain for success. As Dr. Joseph Murphy writes in his book, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, “change your thoughts, and you change your destiny.”

You've probably dabbled with using positive affirmations at some point, right? Remember Louise Hay and her books: You Can Heal Your Life and The Power Is Within You? She even has an adult coloring book of affirmations now. Thank you, Louise! And now's the time to bring positive affirmations to the forefront of our daily rituals and routines . . . they're totally still in style.

Here are a few you can use to get started:

  • I possess the wisdom and the motivation for accomplishing anything I choose;
  • I have the qualities needed to become extremely successful;
  • I am healthy and full of energy . . . overflowing with joy.

Affirmations are proven methods of goal achievement because of their ability to rewire our brains. It's the same as physical exercise, positive words and phrases raise the level of feel-good hormones and push our brains to form new pathways for “positive thought” neurons.

This process helps to release limiting beliefs . . . and make room for new thought patterns and behaviors for a successful life.

What's next?

Hopefully, you now have a better idea on how to reprogram your brain for health, wealth, and happiness. If you're ready to remove blockages to overcome limiting beliefs, practice the above techniques on a daily basis.
